01 / Challenge

01 / Challenge

01 / Challenge

Dru Bru is a mountain-born, community-first brewery with real craft credibility. The new cocktail series needed to stretch beyond existing beer loyalists and reach a cocktail-curious audience willing to pay for a considered, premium product.

The challenge was to create a system that felt equally at home in the taproom and regional retail: clearly cocktail, unmistakably Dru Bru, elevated without pretension, and flexible enough to scale across flavors and future releases.

The work narrowed around Alpine Atmospheres: a tonal system that expresses outdoor identity through soft color fields, restrained typography, and a sense of light, air, and elevation.

Each cocktail maps to an atmospheric condition, with gradients and simple line patterns carrying the system across Margarita Twist, Paloma Twist, Sidecar Twist, and Irish Coffee Twist.

From the mood board to packaging executions, the system moves from atmosphere to a repeatable graphic language—leaving the other territories as useful explorations rather than competing directions.

Alpine Atmospheres gives Dru Bru a more emotionally differentiated route into canned cocktails: a system that feels fresh, elevated, and grounded in the outdoors without turning the outdoors into costume.

The work is still in development. This case study reflects the strategy, atmosphere, line-system, and packaging exploration completed to date; final market results are not yet available.
